A talk by Btihaj Ajana at the Theater and Performance Research Association’s event, Performance and New Technologies Working Group : Performing the Quantified Self: Authorship, Ownership and Autobiography in the era of Big Data, 5-7 September, Bristol University.
Ajana will be discussing how the the Quantified Self human-technology assemblage is practiced and lived, and how it is reshaping understandings of the body and our relation to its vital functions. The presentation will draw on empirical analysis of users’ experience of self-tracking technologies and techniques as well as self-reflexive experience of using Fitbit One.
